The villas are located within 200m walking distance of the 'Etang Vallier'. You are also close to the outdoor swimming pool (open from mid-June to mid-September). The on-site Quai Sud restaurant is also within walking distance (independent), with the village of Brossac, with its shops and other amenities, 1km away. The Clubhouse Snackbar offers snacks, soft drinks and ice cream! (open seasonally)

The villa itself offers all the comforts of home. There is a well equipped kitchen with a large table for family meals, which is off the living room offering a sofa and basic TV service. The villa offers 3 bedrooms. There is one bedroom with a double bed. The second bedroom offers 2 sets of bunk beds. The third bedroom offers two twin beds 90x200cm (some have a double bed). The second bathroom is off the hallway and there is a separate toilet at the end of the hallway.

Summary: We were a party of 7 (4 adults & 3 children aged 7-11) and found the chalets clean, comfortable and spacious. Our chalet was within easy walking distance of both the clubhouse, lake and outdoor swimming pool. We had a fabulous time at Etang Vallier - the moment we arrived onsite, we were greeted by Nina who was extremely helpful and she went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The Clubhouse was the perfect place for food and drink and the kids were kept entertained with the indoor games room, the bouncy castle, crazy golf and swings. The lake was used by all of us and even though the two youngest children weren't great swimmers, we were comfortable with them swimming in the lake as it is not too deep. The outdoor pool was clean and there was never any issue with getting a sun lounger. There was plenty of entertainment at night with live music several times a week. Our chalet had a balcony overlooking to road to the Clubhouse and we had our own private BBQ which was used at several stages during our holiday...we didn't even need to buy any charcoal. The kitchen was fully equipped and the dishwasher was a useful addition. The pièce de résistance was having fresh croissants, pain au chocolat and baguettes delivered fresh each morning to our chalet - yummy! The resort is only minutes from the sleepy village of Brossac but there is a good sized supermarkets not too far away in Chalais and Barbezieux. Chalais also had a great market once a week. We also visited the water park at Jonzac, the lake at Beauvallon and a day trip to Bordeaux. All suggestions courtesy of Nina! Everyone we met was friendly and plenty of people had been returning to the resort for years...and we could understand why. If you're looking for a family friend, relaxing holiday, then you can't go wrong with Etang Vallier. We can't wait to return again when the indoor swimming pool and spa will be open. Etang Vallier, we will be back!
